Click the above graphic to read what our Western University students had to say about the recent string of hate-filled messages from their peers

When hate spreads, silence is not an option.

Two of our AVI Common Ground Ambassadors at Western University, one Jewish and one Christian, spoke out after shocking group chats surfaced. The chats, involving Western students, were filled with praise for terrorist organizations, anti-Jewish hatred, and even methods for concealing weapons at anti-Israel protests.

We are proud of our students’ courage in taking a stand and have communicated their messages to Western administrators. Western has a responsibility to ensure that its campus remains a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Allyship means action. It’s time for the university to act.

In the third and final installment of our series debunking the hateful and dangerous claims of Fresh and Fit podcast host Amrou Fudl (known professionally as Myron Gaines), AVI Allyship Advisor Abhinav Deshwar challenges the claim that those who bore witness to the atrocities of the Holocaust “weren’t credible.”

We shouldn’t have to be making a series like this, in an age of social justice and increased sensitivity to the struggles of minorities. Holocaust denial is one of the most nefarious forms of anti-Jewish hatred and MUST be condemned.

Figures like Gaines must be condemned for heinous claims such as these. Holocaust denial isn’t “edgy” debate – it’s dangerous hate.

AVI staff met so many wonderful students while tabling at Montreal's Federation CJA for the Dalfen Fellowship Graduation for High School students.

A lot of students came by our table and expressed interest in our programs and educational workshops, all thanks to our incredible Director of Quebec & Atlantic Canada, Noa Peretz Benchaya!
