On Episode 6 of the Common Voices podcast, we connected with Yuval David, Emmy Award-winning actor, host, director, filmmaker, and Israel Advocate
This week's conversation was with a talented figure in the film industry who is a proud Jew, Israel Advocate, and member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
We connected with Yuval David, the Emmy Award-winning actor, host, director, and filmmaker, known for his work in film, television, and digital content. David is a prominent advocate and activist in both queer and pro-Israel spaces.
The LGBTQIA+ community has been particularly vocal about the Middle East crisis, leading advocate Yuval David to pivot much of his attention away from speaking up for the group, to combating misinformation and Jewish hatred.
Previously focused on advancing LGBTQIA+ rights, the events of October 7th compelled David to educate his community on Zionism and counter the antisemitism he faced, even from within his own supporters.
In an excerpt from the episode, Yuval discusses his personal experience of the vicious Jew hatred he experienced at Pride.

In our last episode of Common Voices, co-founder of the Canadian Organization for Hindu Heritage Education, Ragini Sharma reflects on the long history of hate faced by both communities and why standing together is more important than ever.
“It is a new version, but it is not new. We have both the Jewish community and Hindu community [facing] this hate and genocides for centuries,” says Ragini.
