As students across Canada return to school this week, Allied Voices for Israel (AVI) and Sharaka, an NGO focused on promoting the Abraham Accords and peace in the Middle East, are thrilled to announce the United We Stand: Voices for Peace in the Middle East tour. In partnership with AVI, it is Sharaka's first ever cross-Canada speaking tour across schools, campuses, and community events around the country.
This unprecedented set of multi-city speaking engagements in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, and Langley will feature a powerful, diverse panel of leaders dedicated to real dialogue and regional peace: Luai Ahmed, Tamer Masudin, and Fatema Al-Harbi. Sharaka (شراكة, meaning “partnership” in Arabic) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2020 by Israeli, Emirati, and Bahraini leaders to transform the Abraham Accords into a warm, “people-to-people” peace. The group works to build long-term cultural, social, and economic ties between Israel and the broader Arab world by bringing together influencers, journalists, academics, and youth leaders through cross-cultural exchange delegations.
AVI has worked with Sharaka since our inception as an organization, bringing students to hear from Sharaka reps during programs in Israel and working together on a recent tour through Calgary.
Beyond fostering interpersonal connections, Sharaka actively promotes tolerance and fights extremism through global outreach and specialized educational programs—including leading historic Arab delegations to Holocaust memorial sites to counter antisemitism and build regional empathy.

We are so proud to be featuring three incredible advocates committed to fostering peace and allyship in the Middle East and beyond:
Fatema Al-Harbi: Sharaka's Gulf Affairs director and heads Sharaka Bahrain. She is an author of five works of fiction advocating women’s issues in the Arab world, is a committed peace advocate and was formerly a Bahraini and GCC athletics champion. She is proudly the first Bahraini woman to visit Israel with Sharaka’s first delegation.
Tamer Masudin: A Fulbright Scholar, Argov Fellow, and Reichman University graduate, Tamer is an Arab Zionist content creator and former journalist passionate about Israel, storytelling, and meaningful dialogue. With a BA in Government and experience in social media moderation, Tamer combines education, media expertise, and humour to offer engaging and diverse perspectives on Israeli society.
Luai Ahmed: A Yemeni-Swedish journalist, columnist, and social media influencer hailing from Sana'a, Yemen. Since fleeing Yemen for Sweden in 2014 following safety concerns and threats, he has earned a degree in International Migration and Ethnic Relations from Malmö University and has written columns for outlets such as the Swedish publication Bulletin.
Through his writing, public speaking, and digital commentary, he frequently addresses topics surrounding Islamic extremism, integration policies, antisemitism, and human rights in the Middle East.
