We are proud to partner with the organization Cyrus the Great, alongside our friends at B'nai Brith Canada, on an Iranian-Jewish solidarity rally!

Meet us Sunday, April 26th outside of Toronto's Israeli Consulate
As we all know, the Iranian and Jewish peoples are two nations united by history, tragic circumstances, and shared values.
In the past few months, this has been particularly pronounced on campuses across Canada where Jews and Iranians are working together, on social media where we are refuting hateful propaganda, and at rallies around the world that have consistently featured both the Iranian Lion and Sun flag and the Israeli flag, which represents not only Israelis but Jewish People around the Diaspora.
In that vein, Allied Voices for Israel (AVI) is proud to partner with Iranian freedom advocacy organization Cyrus the Great and our friends at B'nai Brith Canada on an Iranian-Jewish solidarity rally in downtown Toronto.
On Sunday, April 26th at 1pm, on the heels of Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha'atzmaut we will be gathering outside Toronto's Israeli Consulate to march together. Everyone is welcome and no registration is required.

Cyrus the Great also recently hosted a rally in Toronto outside of the US Consulate, in solidarity with the recent efforts of the United States in regards to the current conflict in Iran.
On behalf of Jewish Canadians, as well as Canadians of conscience, AVI Founder and Executive Director Daniel Koren delivered a powerful speech as a show of support for the people of Iran.
He noted that, the Islamic Republic has been at war with its own people for the past 47 years, and emphasized that the time has come for a united stand to restore freedom, independence, and peace in the Middle East.
Daniel also referred to the events following the October 7th attacks, when the people of Iran rallied behind the Jewish community when very few did.
He concluded by stressing that this solidarity is rooted in shared human values, with the goal of standing for what is right and for the common good, and of creating positive change in the world.

At the rally, dozens of Iranian activists and advocates, including several students, approached Daniel to thank him for his solidarity. Building bridges of understanding, compassion, and solidarity – especially amongst the next generation – is what AVI's mission is all about!

On the theme of Iranian solidarity, we are proud to share that our recent Unity Shabbat dinner with Hillel Ottawa was a huge success! We are grateful to our Iranian friends, allies, and everyone who joined us, including both students at faculty at University of Ottawa and Carleton University.

Finally, we are pleased to share that one of our AVI Student Ambassadors at the University of Victoria, Artem, recently organized a movie screening of the film October 8th on campus.
The film is a unique investigative documentary that looks at the tsunami of anti-Jewish hatred on college campuses, social media, and beyond, beginning the day after the October 7th attack, funded by direct enemies of Canada and the US.
The screening drew in dozens of students, and helped spread awareness on the far-reaching ramifications of that tragic day at Nova. Thank you to all the students – especially our Iranian allies – who attended this important program at UVic.
