RSVP to Raheel Raza: raheel@raheelraza.com

Allied Voices for Israel (AVI) is honoured to serve as a partner on an upcoming program hosted by the Council of Muslims Against Antisemitism (CMAA) and the 4M Forum for Learning.

Please join us for A Multifaith Perspective on Israel on February 8, from 3–5 PM in midtown Toronto. Attendees will hear from participants who recently returned after taking part in a CMAA-led trip to Israel.

AVI's Allyship Advisor Abhinav will also share about his first experience in Israel as part of his Common Ground Ambassadorship with AVI.

Attendees will hear from a powerful panel of Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Hindu, and Bahá’í Canadians. Together, they’ll reflect on their mission to Israel and their conversations with members of diverse communities across the region. This is a conversation rooted in dialogue, lived experience, and mutual understanding.

Please RSVP to raheel@raheelraza.com. Space is limited.

AVI Concordia University students stand at solidarity tabling

On Wednesday, we were invited by the StartUp Nation to take part in a solidarity tabling at Concordia University for our Iranian brothers and sisters. AVI was proud to stand with the People of Iran and raise awareness of the atrocities taking place against innocent Iranian civilians.

Thank you to the team at StartUp Nation and brave student. Elaheh, for bringing us together for this meaningful tabling. It was also nice to see students of all backgrounds – Jewish, Iranian, and beyond – coming together to stand against the corrupt Iranian regime and demand change.

AVI Student Ambassador Sha'anan leads a workshop at York University

Strong campuses are built on informed leadership.

Common Ground Ambassador Sha’anan facilitated AVI’s Understanding Anti-Jewish Hatred workshop with student leaders at York University this week, fostering learning, dialogue, and accountability.

Work like this equips students with the tools to recognize, challenge, and respond to anti-Jewish hatred on campus.

Next week on episode 11 of our Common Voices podcast, we sit down with Fatema Al-Harbi, who is a Muslim and Bahrain-based advocate for peace, for a powerful conversation about loss of hope, moral courage, and why dialogue still matters, especially now.

“At a point, I lost hope for peace… but I knew it was more important than ever to speak up after October 7th. We are all fed up with conflict. We just want to love. We just want peace. We want to share this land with each other,” says Fatema in an important conversation with AVI Founder & Executive Director Daniel Koren.

Tune in next week for this brand new episode. Fatema and Daniel discuss her background, her work with Sharaka and in promoting the Abraham Accords, her experience visiting Israel, challenges and hopes post-October 7th, the impact of her work in promoting allyship and coexistence between Muslims and Jews, and more.
