Allied Voices for Israel (AVI) is proud to be collaborating on an array of exciting opportunities to celebrate allyship and encourage advocacy and education!

We’re excited to partner with our Jewish and Iranian friends for Pomegranate Fest — a vibrant celebration of Jewish, Iranian, Moroccan, Sephardic, and Middle Eastern cultures! 

Join us on Sunday, August 23rd at Earl Bales Park for a FREE day filled with live entertainment, poetry, authentic cuisine, and meaningful experiences that celebrate our shared heritage and bring our communities together.

YALLA!, Toronto Tempo, AVI, and other organizations across the Jewish community are proud to invite Jewish families, friends, and allies from across Ontario to a special evening celebrating our community and the historic arrival of the WNBA in Toronto. 

This inaugural Jewish Community Night marks the beginning of what we hope will become an annual tradition — one that celebrates Jewish life, community, and our growing presence in Canadian sport.

Toronto is now home to Canada’s first WNBA franchise, made possible through the vision and leadership of Canadian Jewish philanthropist and business leader Larry Tanenbaum.

At a time when Jewish institutions across our city have faced horrific acts of hate — including shootings and arson targeting synagogues, bakeries, and restaurants — coming together as a community has never been more important.

We gather not only in response to the challenges we face, but to proudly celebrate who we are. Jewish joy, Jewish connection, and Jewish life are expressions of strength.

More than 250 members of our community have already reserved their seats, and the first 100 eligible ticket holders to register will receive access to an exclusive pre-game warm-up experience.

Allied Voices for Israel (AVI) is delighted to invite you to an exclusive evening in Toronto: our second annual Scotch & Cigars for Israel.

On Thursday, September 17, 2026, join us for an elegant evening celebrating community, connection, and a shared commitment to Israel. Enjoy a curated selection of premium scotch, whiskey, and cigars, alongside gourmet kosher bites generously sponsored by Olive Branch Thornhill, and live music by Porch Jam.

To kick off our next Common Roots Ambassadorship, we will be taking our cohort of high school students on a trip to Houston, Texas, for an immersive exploration of coalition-building and advocacy. 

As one of the most diverse cities in the United States, Houston offers a unique opportunity to hear from inspiring Jewish communal leaders, advocates, and interfaith partners who are building meaningful relationships and creating positive change within their communities.⁠

Through engaging workshops, dynamic conversations, and hands-on learning, Grade 8-12 students of all backgrounds will strengthen their advocacy and leadership skills, learn effective strategies for community engagement and storytelling, and connect with peers from across Canada.⁠

Together, participants will explore how collaboration, allyship, and shared values can help create lasting impact while exploring Houston’s history and culture, enjoying exciting activities, and building friendships that will last a lifetime. ⁠
