Left to right: Common Ground Ambassador Jo Joseph, Michael Mandel, Allyship Advisor Justin Chow, and Common Ground Ambassador Owen Gray
Our Student Ambassadors at York University had a blast tabling with Allyship Advisor Justin Chow last week in partnership with the incredible Israeli nonprofit, Save A Child's Heart. Common Ground Ambassadors Jo Joseph, Michael Mandel, and Owen Gray led the tabling, engaging fellow students about the nonprofit's mission.
Save a Child’s Heart is an Israeli-founded nonprofit, which saves children with congenital and acquired heart defects who have almost no chance of surviving to adulthood in their native countries. We were so humbled to be partnering with such an incredible and crucial cause.

University of Montreal Student Solenn Douieb is our #AmbassadorSpotlight
Meet our Ambassador Spotlight Solenn, who is currently studying Communications and Journalism at the University of Montreal.
“Participating in the Common Ground trip organized by Allied Voices for Israel was far more than just an excursion; it was a profound immersion into a region where a turbulent history is intertwined with an enduring hope for peace. My decision to embark on this ten-day journey stemmed from a deep desire to gain a more nuanced understanding of the various perspectives that shape the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” writes Solenn.
“As an AVI Ambassador, I am privileged to bridge divides and engage in sincere, meaningful exchanges. This role allows me to uncover a shared humanity often obscured by political rhetoric. Every city we visited in Israel revealed layers of history and personal narratives, creating a living tapestry that highlighted the diverse experiences of those impacted by this complex conflict.”
