Voices of Change Media Program

Empowering students to speak with courage and purpose.

Voices of Change is a media education and content development program for college and university students in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia. The program runs for two semesters and strengthens students’ writing, digital storytelling, and online advocacy skills on complex topics, including identity, allyship, anti-Jewish hatred, and Israel. It is designed to strengthen students’ digital storytelling, social media, and online advocacy skills.

Through interactive workshops, insider sessions with journalists and content creators, and a supportive community of student leaders, participants will gain practical experience and the confidence to ensure their voices are heard.

Program Overview

Students will take part in three virtual workshops and one in-person session, designed to provide hands-on writing and editing skills, insights from experts, and strategies for effective online advocacy. This program is ideal for students interested in content creation, social media, writing, journalism, advocacy, or public affairs.

Undergraduate and graduate students with at least one semester remaining on campus are encouraged to apply. Participants must be able to attend an in-person workshop in their home city (Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, or Vancouver).
